Foundation repair cost in Arlington
Fixr's 2026 national figures, what moves a quote, and the line items to ask about.
There's no published price list for Arlington, so this page uses Fixr's national cost guide, last updated January 27, 2026. Fixr puts the average foundation repair at $5,200, with most homeowners paying between $2,200 and $8,200. Pier work sits well above that range.

Pier counts drive the price
Fixr lists individual piers at $1,000 to $3,000 each, with steel, concrete and helical piers at different points in that range. So the number of piers in a plan matters more than almost anything else. As an illustration of the arithmetic, not a quote: 8 piers at $1,000 to $3,000 each is $8,000 to $24,000 before any other line items.
Paying for an outside opinion
Fixr lists a structural engineer's report at $300 to $2,000 and a soil or geotechnical report at $1,000 to $5,000. Against a five-figure pier job, an independent report is a small cost. Our engineer report page covers what a good one includes.
Line items to ask about
- Engineering: is an engineer's letter included, and who hired the engineer?
- The permit: who pulls it and is the fee in the price? Grand Prairie, for one, won't issue a foundation repair permit without a stamped engineer's letter. See permits by city.
- Plumbing tests: are they done before and after lifting, and who pays for repairs if a line breaks?
- Interior work: drywall, trim and paint after the house moves are often excluded.
- The warranty: what it covers, for how long, and whether it transfers when you sell.
Arlington context
The Census Bureau's QuickFacts puts the median value of an owner-occupied home in Arlington at $304,700 (2020 to 2024). By our arithmetic, Fixr's $10,000 to $40,000 piering range is roughly 3% to 13% of that value. That's a reason to compare at least two written quotes on the same scope.
